About Us
Buchanan Galleries shopping centre is in the middle of Glasgow city centre, a city recognised as one of the top retail destinations in the UK. We're home to John Lewis in Glasgow, and have over 90 of the best retail names under our roof, from retail giants to small independents.
We're the best shopping centre in Glasgow - but we like to think of ourselves as more than that. We're part of the community, and so we try to do our bit not only in Glasgow, but throughout west central Scotland.
We do this in a number of different ways. We work with a nominated charity each year, to help fundraising and awareness-building efforts. We fund local community groups who are struggling to find support elsewhere, with our Community Bursary. We're also home to the Retail Academy, which provides a range of training and recruitment for local people looking to get into retail. And we also try to do our bit for the environment.
Buchanan Galleries is owned by Buchanan Partnership, a joint venture between Henderson Global Investors and Land Securities. The centre is managed by Savills.
The Retail Academy at Buchanan Galleries provides training for people looking to get into retail, and to retailers looking to take on or develop their staff.
The Buchanan Galleries Community Bursary helps fund small charities and not-for-profit groups to help them make a real difference in their local community.
Each year we work with a nominated charity, which this year is the innovative cancer support charity, Maggie's, based at the Glasgow Western Infirmary.
We support fashion, design and creative talent in Glasgow and Scotland thruogh our on-going sponsorship of the world-famous Glasgow School of Art.
We try to support young fashion talents whenever we can, including students and graduates of Scottish fashion, textile and design courses.
