Go on – what are you waiting for?!
Swimwear can be a bit tricky - but this season we're spoiled for choice. One-piece swimsuits, itsy-bitsy bikinis or poolside-only pieces were all seen on the catwalks. Think about what suits your body shape - and the tan lines you might end up with!
If you have a big bust, avoid string bikinis - they won't give you any support, and you'll end up looking droopy. Go for underwired or halterneck styles instead.
Hiding your tummy is a lot easier than it used to be. Support swimwear works justs like underwear or hosiery, sucking in the flab and instantly giving you a flat stomach.
To elongate your legs, chose a high-cut design, and avoid 1950s style shorts - they'll make your legs look shorter.
There are plenty of padded styles for those who want to enhance their cleavage. Bold prints tend to make areas look larger, so use them to your advantage.
And if you're trying to make your hips look smaller, avoid prints and go for plain colours.
The easiest footwear for the beach remains the flip-flop. However, my advice would be to stay away from the gladiator sandal - yes, they look great, but imagine the criss-cross tan marks you'll end up with!
The catwalk trend for playsuits may not work on a normal day-to-day basis, but they are ideal for slipping over a bikini. Add some sandals and you're away, whether it's for a quick drink at the hotel bar or a light lunch. Maxi dresses will achieve the same result, with a little more cover-up.
One of the easiest ways to cover up is the good old sarong. If you're conscious of your upper arms, you can add a short kaftan to cover up.
And for a bit of instant glamour on the beach, add a pair of wedges, an oversized straw sun hat, a bit of jewellery and a pair of supersize sunglasses - you'll feel a million dollars!
