Flawless skin

It's festival time! Whether you're camping or going lux, you'll want to look good - no matter how much mud there is or how little sleep you have. Make-up artist Mailin Haddow gives her must-have beauty products to make you look great whatever the weather...

You don't want to cart your entire make up kit with you, so the trick for festivals is to keep it light and use multi-tasking products that will help lighten the load. This tinted moisturiser gives coverage, looks natural and moisturises at the same time. And even better, you won't need sunscreen as it's SPF15. Perfect!

Benefit You Rebel tinted moisturiser £21.50.

Bring some colour into your face

Make up with staying power is a must - re-doing your face in a portaloo isn't an option. Use a cheek stain or liquid blusher for a sheer, natural tint that'll give you a rosy glow from dusk til dawn. Origins Pinch Your Cheeks has cult status, but Benefit's Benetint (£23.50 from Boots) is also worth trying.

Origins Pinch Your Cheeks gel blusher £12.

Keep lips hydrated

Wear a nourishing lip colour - like a coloured lip balm or lip tint - to keep your lips nice and moisturised, and give you a bit of colour without looking as if you've tried too hard.  It's hard to beat Elizabeth Arden's renowned Eight Hour Cream in a lip tint. Enriched with emollients, protective SPF 15 and vitamin E, this will keep your lips soft and smooth.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour protective sheer lip tint £18.

Rock chick lashes

Finish off your eyes with lashings of mascara for the best rock chick look - but plump for a waterproof formulation to keep it in place all day.  Try the No7 Extreme Waterproof mascara - it'll keep your lashes clump free so do at least two layers for maximum length and volume.

Mascara £12.

Hair SOS

The worst bit about the whole festival thing is not being able to wash your hair all weekend.  Yuck.  Save the day with a dry shampoo - we love this James Brown one which refreshes your hair and combats greasy roots, while smelling nice, too.  We defy anyone to notice you haven't been near a shower.

James Brown fabulously Flirty Dry Shampoo £5.99 for 150ml.

Budge-proof eyeliner

Nothing says rock and roll more than heavily-lined eyes.  Kohl can look great to start off with, but usually ends up smudging all over the place and leaving you looking like a panda - cute, but not exactly the look you were going for.  Benefit's Bad Gal eyeliner is available in a waterproof formulation, which won't budget unless you want it to.

Benefit Bad Gal waterproof eyeliner £14.
