Christmas parties, relentless nights out, long queues for taxis – ah the joys of the festive season! It’s supposed to be the time when we don our gladrags and party all night, but sometimes for us ladies, our feet just can’t take it. I know I need a night or two out of my high heels at this time of year, but I still want something glamorous on my feet. So, I shall be heading to River Island for a pair of their gorgeous gold distressed leather pumps with a bit of diamante detail for extra glamour. Priced at £34.99.
WE all eat far too much at this time of year, and a little help from JML’s Slimming Body Suit is certainly something I shall be taking advantage of. Okay, it doesn’t look very glamorous, is definitely a bit Bridget Jones big knickers, and probably isn’t the best thing to wear if you are out on a hot date, but trust me, it’s very comfortable, easy to wear and it works. It certainly pulls all the lumps and bumps in just enough to give you the silhouette you want under your favourite party dress. £14.99, from Boots, in sizes 8-22.
The Maxi dress is a trend that I adore. Being a big fan of all things from the 1970s, wearing a full-length dress makes me feel extremely glamorous. However, it’s not an easy trend to wear, so it’s best kept for special occasions, and what’s more special that Christmas? One of my favourites on the High Street this year is this gorgeous silver version from Warehouse, full of sparkle and perfect for a night out, or for wearing as the perfect Abigail’s Party-style hostess on Christmas Day. £65, Warehouse @ John Lewis.
