It may be cold outside, but that's no excuse to raise the temperature indoors with luscious, sexy lingerie that can't fail to get the mercury rising.
Start the new year with new undies - banish your mismatched, greying pants and slip into silk and lace, with ruffles and frills for a bit of fun.

Christmas is the perfect excuse to get all glammed up for a girlie night out in a gorgeous party dress. This season think bold colour, strong shapes and pile on the jewellery and accessories for the ultimate in glamour and glitz. Be brave and step out of black and into strong shades, from acid yellow to scarlet red; shocking pink to minted green, and of course, the festive favourites of gold and silver.

This particular trend came right off the catwalks at London Fashion Week in February this year, when Giles Deacon showed impossibly huge knits in his Autumn/Winter 07/08 collection. Hooded and wrapped around the head, his knits were enormous, falling into gloves, and in glorious rusts, greens and pinks.
The High Street was quick to adapt a trend that they thought was a winner, and the result is shops bulging with chunky knits – from snoods to knitted hats; oversize cardigans, to chunky knitted dresses. If you’re a dab hand with a pair of knitting needles, head into John Lewis for a pattern and some chunky yarn. Or you could just take inspiration from our fashion shoot!

Purple is both regal and funky, and bang on trend this autumn. Wear it in any shade, mix it up with silver and gold. Pay homage to the 70s with high waisted flares, puff sleeve blouses and floppy hats, or think 80s disco with skinny jeans, vests and headbands. From deep plums to bold blue-purples, from wine to near lilacs, embrace the purple in you!
Step out in true Hollywood style this autumn with a cinched waist, strong shoulders and a ladylike skirt, as fashion takes a nod to the glamorous 1940s.
Think Veronica Lake, Bette Davis, Rita Hayworth – gorgeous goddesses of the silver screen who looked every inch the lady.
The look takes on a 21st Century twist with a palette of greys, plums, aubergines and creams. Clutch bags get bigger, and platform heels higher.
