This summer, musicians can take centre stage at Buchanan Galleries at our very first dedicated busking area!
The all-new Busk Stop will be located by the flower wall outside John Lewis and will allow young buskers to perform inside the centre for the very first time, serving as a centrepiece for aspiring young artists to engage with visitors, entertain, and showcase their talent during the summer holidays.
The Busk Stop has been specially created to shine a spotlight on Glasgow's young artists and performers, giving them a chance to perform live to a walk-by audience in a free-to-use, designated busking safe place.
10-year-old Glasgow singer Rachel Ronnie will be joining us at the centre to help launch the Busk Stop on Monday 30th June from 12pm to 1pm, with more performances to follow throughout the week.
All future performances at the Busk Stop will be on a rotation schedule to ensure fresh entertainment for all to enjoy throughout the summer.
Get involved!
If you're a young artist based in Glasgow and you're interested in performing at our new Busk Stop, we'd love to hear from you!
Performers will be able to reserve hour slots throughout the summer holidays. To register your interest, please send over your social media handles and a video of your performances to buchanangalleries@landsec.com
