Lochie makes his debut
Scotties in the City, a mass-participation public art trail in support of Maggie's, and in partnership with Wild in Art, is coming to Glasgow this summer.
From 18 June to 16 August 2026, over 30 giant Scottie dog sculptures designed by artists from Scotland and beyond, will appear across the city's streets, parks and public spaces – transforming Glasgow into a colourful tail-wagging open-air gallery while raising important funds for Maggie's vital cancer support services.
Ahead of the official launch, the trail's first Scottie dog, Lochie, designed by Glasgow artist Douglas Roulston, is now proudly on display in the first-floor atrium, inviting visitors to pause and snap a photo.
Lochie won't be alone for long – a second Scottie dog will join him on the 18 June, with both remaining in the centre for the duration of the trail. Alongside the main installations, Maggie's Community and Learning Programme invites local schools and community groups to design their own mini Scottie, with proceeds from the final sculpture auction supporting Maggie's work across Scotland.
